Guided tour with palace director Jörg Kirschstein, SPSG
The apartment of Prince Henry of Prussia, a brother of King Frederick the Great, is an impressive example of Friderician Rococo.
Frederick the Great had a prestigious guest apartment furnished for Prince Henry and his wife Wilhelmine of Hesse-Kassel in the New Palace, complete with luxurious chandeliers, precious silk wallpaper and two parade beds.
These works of art make the apartment one of the most prestigious sequences of rooms in the New Palace. Palace director Jörg Kirschstein explains the significance of the ornate furnishings in this apartment.
