The Swedish photojournalist Ann-Christine Jansson, who has lived in Berlin for many years, captures the changes in the once divided and later reunited city in her pictures. In doing so, she portrays the people who fought for social transformation on both sides of the Wall and shaped historical events. With her personal, subjective view, Jansson captures the spirit of those turbulent years and brings it to life.
In view of global crises, conflicts and the rise of right-wing populist movements, the exhibition also takes a focused look at German history - especially the period before and after reunification.
The exhibition "Time Travel" is presented in the project room of the Old Fire Station as part of the "von mir aus" series, which has been providing a stage for artists from Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg since 2004.
It is part of the EMOP (European Month of Photography)
