Castle courtyard concert
Starting out in Sydney's punk bands, Angela Cory continued with rockabilly/rock 'n' roll band The Jukes before moving to China to play with blues soul band Buzuibugui. Here she lived for 5 years while recording and touring with UK DJ DSK and The Lost Soul CollecMve.In Berlin, Angela was part of Strangers By Day, a female rhythm & blues band with music from the 50's and 60's with whom she released her album Polyesterdays (2014).
After a break to record music for theater and film, Angela has returned to the Berlin blues scene. Inspired by female singers such as Bessie Smith, Janis Joplin, Patti Smith and Irma Thomas, Angela delivers a soulful, emotional rhythm & blues vocal performance and knows exactly when it's time to celebrate rock'n roll.
She is accompanied by the crème de la crème of the German blues scene:
Jan Hirte has been playing actively in the German and international scene for 30 years (Blue Ribbon,Ginger Blues, Berlin Blues Allstar Band and many more).and together with Micha Maass and MarMn Rose they form an unbeatable basis for a super blues and soul evening where it will be hard not to dance.
