Performance & Talk
The performance Am I Comfortable Enough? critically examines patriarchal norms imposed on women by society. It questions the expectation that women must suppress assertiveness, persistence and personal boundaries in order to be considered ‘pleasant’.
The production addresses gender equality in a visually striking and deliberately provocative way, giving expression to a wide range of voices and opening up a space for a reflective dialogue on social role models.
The performance combines surreal aesthetics with playful energy and invites the audience to engage intensively with the issues at hand. The performance will be followed by a thematic discussion with experts and the audience, which will explore the issues raised in the play in more depth and highlight global challenges for women. The aim is to promote collective reflection and empowerment.
