Festival in the Festival “Future Now – Tomorrow’s Traditions Today”
Joik is a traditional singing form of the indigenous Sámi people in northern Fennoscandia. Yet it's not just a song: One doesn't joik over something, but rather immerses oneself in the landscape or living being while singing. In their program, the duo interweaves the deep roots of Sámi joik and church singing with electric guitar and synthesizer beats.
