Swinging contemplation
Traditionally, the Collegium musicum Potsdam symphony orchestra, conducted by Knut Andreas, brings the concert year to a close with an Advent concert in the Friedrichkirche in Babelsberg. Classical Christmas sounds are mixed with the sound of the saxophone.
The concert program includes classic Christmas songs, festive classical works, but also some swinging titles interpreted together with the Potsdam saxophonist Ralf Benschu.
For many years, Ralf Benschu has been one of the regular guest soloists with whom the Collegium musicum Potsdam symphony orchestra works. He has already performed Darius Milhaud's famous "Scaramouche", Michael Kamen's saxophone concerto, but also interpreted his own compositions.
In his diverse projects, Ralf Benschu can be heard in numerous ensembles, be it with the saxophone quartet, guitar, accordion, harp, piano or organ.
