On one special evening each summer, Berlin becomes the ultimate racecourse: The adidas Runners City Night offers a unique blend of fitness, fun and the high-energy atmosphere of Berlin's famous Kurfürstendamm (Ku'Damm). The adidas Runners City Night brings together a diverse crowd of over 10,000 participants ready to conquer the streets of Berlin by running or inline skating – or both! The event offers different course options to suit your stamina and skill level, including a 5K 'fun run', a 10K run and a 10K inline skating race. For the truly ambitious, there's even a 'double start' option where you skate 10 kilometres and then immediately follow it up with a 10K run.

Skaters take off first at 7 pm, racing through the streets of City West with no speed limits, while the runners hit the course at 7:30 pm. The famous Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church marks the finish line, and once you've crossed it, the party begins!

From the grand post-war architecture to the modern skyscrapers of Zoofenster and UPPER-WEST, you'll get a sense of the city's past and present.

The event also promotes cross-training for fitness enthusiasts. Running and inline skating complement each other, offering a full-body workout that improves endurance and muscle strength. Many participants use this opportunity to boost their overall fitness, with some even signing up for the 'Skate to Run' campaign, which guarantees a spot in the prestigious BMW Berlin Marathon.

  • The event is held in the evening, starting at 7:00 pm for skaters and 7:30 pm for runners.

  • Inline skating is the first event of the night, followed by the running races. If you're doing the double start, pace yourself and stay hydrated between events.

  • The party atmosphere continues after the races into the late hours so you can enjoy Berlin's nightlife with your fellow participants.

  • Parking near Ku'Damm can be limited, so public transport is the best option. Take the underground to the Kurfürstendamm or Zoologischer Garten stations for easy access.
