Vortragsreihe Kunstgeschichten des Tiergartenviertels

In the last decade of the 19th century, the art patron Ida Dehmel, née Coblenz and divorced Auerbach, ran a remarkable salon at Lennéstrasse 5 in the Tiergarten district.

In a very short time, she established a discussion space for artists and writers who were not yet established, including Edvard Munch, Julie Wolfthorn, Dagny Juel and Stanislaw Przybyszewski.

Her weekly evenings were lavish parties for which people dressed unusually and danced after discussion and food. "Isi", as she was affectionately called, quickly established herself in the art scene as "the Tiergarten lady".
