Tracing the history of Biesdorf Palace
Since 2016, Biesdorf Palace has been shining in its old glory - as if it had never been otherwise. But what happened here? Who lived, served, researched, destroyed and celebrated here?

The artist Laleh Torabi, the cultural scientist Alexandra Nehmer and the media scientist Christian Hiller have gone on a search for traces in order to reconstruct the history of the place on the basis of archive material. In this way, past events conquer their space, stand out on walls and illustrate the stories of the castle in black and white.
Archive notes form the starting point of the drawings. Yet the eventful past of the house is not depicted as a fact, but materializes as a phantasm. From the (re-)construction of the events the view into a future opens up...
