Michael Kempf is head chef at the two-star restaurant FACIL, a relaxed oasis on Potsdamer Platz. The roof garden restaurant offers a magnificent panoramic view and excellent cuisine with Asian and Mediterranean flavours.

Incidentally, FACIL is the only Michelin-starred restaurant in Berlin that is open for lunch five days a week and serves a flexible range of dishes without you having to order a set menu.This means you can enjoy a personalised fine dining experience both at lunchtime and in the evening.

The Otsuka restaurant is known for its excellent, top-class sushi. It is somewhat hidden in the Nordbahnhof, but the tiny shop is definitely worth a visit.
