Coq au Vin Theatre for Children & Family
Let the flight of fancy soar!
The Coq au Vin Theatre for Children & Family in Berlin has been making children and their guardians laugh and marvel for over two decades. Founded by an ensemble of artists, educators and actors who are particularly passionate about theatre for children, Coq au Vin has established a reputation for its imaginative circus-themed productions. The mixture of modern artistry, comedy and theatre delivers an unforgettable experience for young and old alike.
A stage in the grip of magic
The Coq Au Vin shows are sure to keep children on the edge of their seats. That's because all the plays are structured such that the boundary between the actors and the children is blurred as the play progresses and the children become more and more involved in the action. This creates an interactive theatre experience where the children are not just passively watching, but are allowed to actively participate and help shape the play. Told across generations and presented with a twinkle in the eye, the plays also unfold into an enjoyable theatrical experience for parents.
For the little exploring minds
Coq Au Vin is designed for children aged three to ten - but of course all ages are welcome! In addition to the regular performances, we also offer special events such as birthday parties or treasure hunts. At these events, artistic skills are taught and encouraged in a playful way.
In the midst of Berlin's cultural landscape
The theatre has two venues, one in Neukölln in the Guttempler Hall and one in the Pfefferberg Theatre. Both venues are known for their diverse cultural programme and offer other events in addition to children's theatre.
