Christmas market at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church

The traditional Christmas market at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is a peculiarity among Berlin Christmas markets. A 400 metre long carpet of light adorns the sky above the Christmas market.

Every year the scent of hot red wine punch and a sea of lights float above the 170 historical stands in the heart of City West. In a festive atmosphere, you can admire handmade art, accessories and Christmas decorations and purchase gifts for your loved ones. From hearty Thuringian Rostbratwurst (grilled sausage) to sweet waffles and candied fruit, you will find a whole range of winter delicacies at the market.

The Christmas market at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is one of the few markets that is still open after Christmas. So you can start the new year at the Advent market. With a delicious mulled wine from the charitable mulled wine sale organised by the AG City together with the Schaustellerverband Berlin, you can support the DRK and the Wärmebus. 

During your visit to the Christmas market, take a look at the landmark of Berlin's West: the Gedächtniskirche. Afterwards, enjoy the festive atmosphere in the city on a walk along Kurfürstendamm with the longest Christmas lights in the world or get the last Christmas presents in the shopping centres Bikini Berlin or the Europacenter.

Opening hours and entrance fees:

• Date:  25 November 2024 until 5 January 2025
• Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday 11am - 9pm, Friday & Saturday 11am - 10pm, Christmas Eve 11am - 2pm, Christmas Day 1pm - 9pm, 31 December 11am - 8pm, 1 January 1pm - 9pm.
• Admission is free.

We recommend travelling by public transport. Parking is available in the Europacenter multi-storey car park.
