Christmas Market in Berlin on 1 December 2024

Christian Christmas traditions and a fantastic children's programme: the Christmas market at the Evangelisches Johannesstift is a great experience for the whole family.

Traditionally, the Evangelisches Johannesstift invites you to the Christmas market at the edge of the Spandauer Forst on the first Advent. In the banquet room of the Evangelisches Johannesstift and around the Stiftskirche Spandau you can discover many things both inside and outside.

About the Foundation

The Evangelisches Johannesstift was founded in 1858 by Johann Hinrich Wichern and has been located at the edge of the Spandauer Forst since 1910. It is one of the largest and most traditional diaconal institutions in Berlin.

After the service for the first Advent at 10:30, the Christmas market traditionally begins at 12 noon, where various exhibitors offer great gift ideas.

Children’s programme

The Evangelisches Johannesstift has put together a very special programme for children: the little ones can run riot in the heated play tent, get creative with Christmas handicrafts, laugh at the Punch and Judy show and take a ride on the popular collegiate railway.
