Free rhythms in Berlin
The unique rhythms composed by gifted Swiss jazz musician Sophie Hunger, now living in Berlin, go from mellow to brisk and have earned her many fans at Heimathafen Neukölln. Ingenious American guitarist and blues musician Joe Bonamassa likes to take the stage at the Tempodrom and Till Brönner regularly hosts talks with musicians of international renown in his chosen hometown. The next generation of blues and jazz greats, meanwhile, can be caught at A-Trane and Badenscher Hof. Local jazz bands such as Berlin's FINEST as well as stars who like more intimate settings are found at the Zig Zag Jazz Club.
