A dialogic tour through the exhibition invites visitors to discover key objects of European remembrance culture. The focus is on exhibitions created between 1945 and 1948 in London, Paris, Warsaw, Liberec, and Bergen-Belsen – early attempts to publicly document and historically examine the crimes of National Socialism.

The tour explores the diverse approaches of these exhibitions: for example, the portrayal of Jewish resistance in Warsaw, the selection and censorship of objects in Bergen-Belsen, or the reconstruction of Nazi crime scenes using original exhibits in Paris.

Another focus is on the impact of visual media such as photographs and film recordings on collective memory.

Exchange with the educational consultants creates space for questions, discussion, and reflection – on history education in post-war Europe and on dealing with perpetrators and memory at five key locations.
