Ballhaus Wedding
Theatre, concerts and dancing nights
The Ballhaus Wedding stands in one of Berlin's most beautiful backyards and has already experienced a lot: since 1889, people have celebrated and danced there. More than a hundred years later, it is awakening from its slumber and opening its doors anew.
Glamorous and wicked: Berlin and the 1920s
Take a short trip back in time to the turn of the 19th/20th century:
It is the time of the great Berlin ballrooms. Dance enthusiasts floated across the dance floor in magnificently furnished rooms, a few decades later tango, swing and Charleston moved into the dance halls and Berlin's nightlife boomed. Glamorous variety theatres, revue theatres and cabarets create a high spirits. A Berlin epoch that also inspired the world-famous series Babylon Berlin.

The Ballhaus Wedding, built in 1889, also experienced its heyday in Berlin at the beginning of the 20th century. But then it falls into a slumber of over a hundred years. For a long time, the magnificent building is left to decay. After reunification, it was restored and used as an event location or as a backdrop for photos or film shoots.
One century later...
Since 2022, Ballhaus Wedding has once again opened its doors wide to everyone and invites you to dance, theatre and concerts as well as readings and political talks on its 350 square metres.
A look at the programme of events shows a varied offer: In addition to dance nights from tango to salsa, you can listen to neighbourhood poets, experience improvisation theatre and start your Sunday morning with a rich brunch and live music.

Parquet, gaming tables and a golden champagne bar
Guests who love lavishly tasteful decorations are in good hands here, because the historic ambience of the Belle Époque-style rooms is splendid: whether you're shaking a leg under chandeliers in the grand ballroom or making yourself comfortable in chatty armchairs in the cosy fireside lounge.
