Alt-Marzahn Advent market

Christmas market in Berlin from 29 November to 1 December 2024

Small but fine Advent market and day of the open farms in Alt-Marzahn: there is a whole lot to discover in addition to children's face painting and Christmas treats!

Not far from the Bockwindmühle the small but fine Advent market is taking place on the Alt-Marzahn village green like every year. Around the church, a market has been held here for over 20 years to get people in the mood for the contemplative Christmas season. On about 25 stands, various farms, shops, residents, associations and organisations offer for sale a range of gifts and Christmas handicrafts such as tree decorations, Advent calendars and much more.

Sweet and hearty delicacies

Here your culinary instincts will be indulged with sweet and hearty delicacies like chocolate apples, waffles, grilled products from the charcoal grill, homemade cakes and bread and dripping. You can warm yourself by the fire bowl of the youth fire brigade with mulled wine, punch and coffee.

Diverse programme for children

There is a diverse hands-on programme for young Christmas market visitors to get involved in: together you can sing Advent songs, watch the shadow play and puppet theatre, do handicrafts and make-up in the Protestant kindergarten or go for pony and donkey rides.

Open doors

What's special: besides the Advent market on the village green, various farms such as the Wuhletal gGmbH, the junk barn, the KulturGut, the ceramics barn "Schamottchen", the wood workshop and the bookshop open their doors on this day and invite you with a varied programme and an array of culinary delicacies.
