Advent Lichter Genuss in the Natur Park Schöneberger Südgelände is an atmospheric Advent market with art, light installations and arts and crafts. On the first two weekends of Advent you can stroll through the enchanted grounds of the cosy market and let the magical illuminations work their magic on you. Enjoy the convivial market life, the romantic lights and the enchanted park.
And don’t forget: Please bring candles in glasses!
Light installations in the Nature Park
This year, the candle labyrinth, which was co-designed by visitors, will once again light up the Nature Park. In addition, shining stars throughout the park create a festive atmosphere. On a winter stroll through the grounds, you will discover numerous other light installations that give the park a special, festive atmosphere.
Art market and handicrafts
The small, fine winter market offers a cosy alternative with a well-organised selection of stalls to find inspiration for Christmas gift ideas away from the large markets and shopping streets. In the secret garden "Giardino Segreto", you can even create your own personalised gift or a pretty Christmas decoration. Floristry offers invite you to make wreaths and join in the fun.
At the baumschlau e.V. stand, children can send their Christmas wishes directly to Father Christmas or experience magical moments with storyteller Birgit Hägele at the water tower.
Experience nature
The Natur Park Schöneberger Südgelände is a park on the site of a former marshalling yard. On the site, wild nature grows on the relics of steam locomotive times gone by and works of art adorn the park. If you would like to find out more about the nature park, you are welcome to join one of the guided tours.

Follow up your visit to the Christmas market with a walk through the wintry nature park and enjoy the enchanted landscape. And if there is snow, you can go tobogganing nearby on the Rodelbahn am Insulaner . Take a look at the sky at the Wilhelm-Foerster-Sternwarte.
Opening times and admission
- Date: On the first two Advent weekends (30 November & 1, 7 and 8 December 2024)
- Opening times: Saturday from 3 - 7 pm, Sunday from 12 - 6 pm
- Park admission: €1.00 (from 14 years) - annual pass holders have free admission.

- There is also a park and ride car park at the Priesterweg S-Bahn station.
