One day in Berlin - Our program suggestion for you:

Morning:

For a historical tour with friends in Berlin
It bodes well when you and your friends come to Berlin for the day. Your personal guide receives you in front of the Konzerthaus Berlin at the Gendarmenmarkt. You have decided on a Prussian history tour. Here you will learn about Frederick I of Prussia, the founder of Friedrichstadt. Many historic events take place on Berlin's "most beautiful square". You will hear about the Potato Revolution, the March Revolution and The Prussian National Assembly. Travel further through history to the Bebelsplatz. This square is planned in the 18th century by Frederick II under the name of Forum Fridericianum. Onwards to the Neue Wache – a memorial for victims of war. On Schlossplatz you discover the huge reconstruction project of the Berliner Stadtschloss (City Castle) which will be finished in 2019. Across the street are the five museums of the Museumsinsel, a UNESCO Heritage Site. Your guide can tell you many interesting historical details about this place and will take you as far as the Friedrichsbrücke – leaving you with a comprehensible impression of the glamour of past Berlin, in one single morning.

Afternoon:

The Television Tower – Berlin from above
From the Friedrichsbrücke, Alexanderplatz is only 15 minutes away on foot. Meanwhile, it's noon, and you have promised your friends something special for lunch: Before you stands the tallest building of Berlin. From bottom to top, it measures 368 metres. You enter this Berlin landmark through the revolving door. When you already have tickets, you don't have to queue for long and can go straight through to the foyer. Up you go in the lift with the glass roof – 40 seconds, and you have reached the observation deck. Enjoy your lunch in Restaurant Sphere which rotates slowly, giving you a panoramic view of Berlin while you eat. From here, you recognise the Berlin Victory Column in Tiergarten, the Reichstag and the river Spree which winds through the city at your feet.

Evening:

Beer markets and cabaret
You can spend the rest of the afternoon along the Spree in the idyllic Monbijoupark. Here, you are close to the restaurant Berliner Republik at Schiffbauerdamm where you can get old-fashioned Berlin cuisine. In the adjoined Brokers Bierbörse, you can enjoy 18 different beers on draft. The final highlight of the evening is found only 16 minutes away in the Hackeschen Höfen. The Chamäleon Musik-Theater-Varieté offers a tingling combination of acrobatics, slapstick and dance. Even transport to the hotel has been taken care of.
