Tour Highlights

After starting from Anhalter Bahnhof, you will pass the Tempodrom. Shortly afterwards, you will reach the German Museum of Technology. On its façade is a "sultana bomber" - one of the transport planes used to supply Berliners from the air during the almost year-long blockade (1948 to 1949). The museum with its large park displays one of the largest collections of technical history in Germany.

After crossing the park at Gleisdreieck and passing Viktoriapark, you come to the EUREF Campus with the Gasometer Schöneberg. The route then takes you through the pretty garden city of Neu-Tempelhof to the historic Tempelhof Airport. Tempelhof Airport was one of the first commercial airports in Germany in 1923. The current buildings date back to the 1930s. Air traffic ceased in 2008. The associated 303-hectare Tempelhofer Feld is the largest inner-city open space in the world.

At the end of the tour, you will cross the Volkspark Hasenheide. In the Graefekiez neighbourhood, many small shops and eateries are waiting to be discovered. Finally, the tour follows the Landwehr Canal and Urban Harbour towards the Jewish Museum, Berlinische Galerie and Checkpoint Charlie before returning to Anhalter Bahnhof.
