by ulia Haenni and Marie Bues
A woman races through medical history in disbelief, horrified by the centuries-long male gaze on her body. With plenty of humor, Marie Bues' production dissects persistent myths, exposing their absurdity—and in doing so, does not ignore the pain inherent in bodies and systems.
In the past, medicine was oriented exclusively toward the male gender. To this day, the patient and her body sometimes seem like an unknown entity. Yet people of different genders become ill, often with very different symptoms and courses of illness.
