WAP-Duality

Lana Mari has made a name for herself in the jazz world as a pianist and keyboardist, while Jonathan Boudevin comes from a classical and rock background. However, these differences have not hindered, but rather encouraged the musicians to come together and create something completely new and fresh.


They strive for a sophisticated fusion of different musical influences that reflect their individual musical journeys and reflections on sounds, structures and aesthetics.


The duo's name, Wap Duality, refers to the concept of the unity of particles and energy in quantum physics. For the musicians, this concept felt metaphorical to reflect their own musical aspirations. Wap Duality embraces new musical currents with great curiosity in order to transform them into a unique, coherent whole.

This common endeavor results in a new kind of electronic pop-rock music interwoven with improvisational elements from the fields of experimental music and jazz.

The duet offers a space for experimentation and experimentation, a field of possibilities and fruitful exchange, to which guests will contribute in order to let it grow through their performances both on recordings and in concerts.
