Berlin-Premiere in Admiralspalast
An outstanding theatrical event is coming to Berlin in June 2025: John Malkovich and Ingeborga Dapkūnaitė will appear together on the stage of the Admiralspalast when Bernard-Marie Koltès’ haunting chamber play “In the Solitude of the Cotton Fields” is performed under the direction of Timofey Kulyabin.

On three evenings – June 9, 10, and 11, 2025 – the Admiralspalast will be transformed into a space of intense, poetic encounters between two strangers, whose dialogue about power, desire, and loneliness develops into a captivating duel.
With his atmospherically dense directorial style, Kulyabin impressively brings the linguistic depth and emotional power of the play to life. The confrontation between the dealer (Malkovich) and the customer (Dapkūnaitė) unfolds into a play full of tension, subtle humor, and philosophical depths.
The production will be shown in the original language (English) with German surtitles.
