The works from Odesa vividly demonstrate how the painter's palette changed in the 19th century. In a discussion, artist Birgit Bellmann and art historian Henrik Engel will explore the use of light in paintings from various eras, up to the vibrant colors of Impressionism.

Building on this, they will create landscape or figurative studies using watercolor, chalk, and egg tempera, focusing on light and atmosphere.
The workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced students. All materials will be provided.
