Music at the court of Margaret of Austria. With the Early Music Ensemble Titans Rising
After the death of her brother and two husbands, Margaret of Austria decided never to remarry at the age of 24. She transformed her court in Mechelen into a center of intellectual and artistic activities in the spirit of humanism. Musicians, artists and scholars met there, and aristocrats entrusted their children to Margaret's care.

The concert presents the stages of this special woman's life to the audience.
Music from the second half of the 15th century and the early 16th century by Pierre de la Rue, Marbriano de Orto, Alexander Agricola, Josquin Desprez and others will be performed by the Berlin Ensemble for Early Music Titans Rising, founded by Sarah Fuhs in 2014.
