Katharina Thalbach definitively became one of the biggest stars of German cinema and theater with Volker Schlöndorff's adaptation of Günter Grass's global success "The Tin Drum." She plays Maria Truczinski, with whom the main character, Oskar Mazerath (played by David Bennent), who is the same age but still short, falls in love.

On his third birthday, Oskar decided to stop growing. The film won the Palme d'Or at Cannes and the German Film Award in 1979, before becoming the first German production to win an Oscar in 1980.

Now, the exceptional actress reads from the novel with her unmistakable voice.

This show is only played in German.
