This piece embarks on a dynamic exploration, blending movement, voice, and sound, inspired by the ancient theory of the four humours.

Rooted in Greek and Roman medical traditions, these humours symbolize the balance of bodily fluids and the distinct temperaments they embody. By investigating the interplay of these elements within this thematic framework—where voice and sound may be seen as extensions of movement—Swap seeks to unravel the layers of human expression. Through the fusion of voice and movement, it delves into the intricate complexities of identity.

Maria Colusi and Edgardo Rudnitzky have been collaborating for more than 20 years, researching and developing performance and installation projects that explore the interplay between the unique narratives of sound and the moving body. In this ongoing and dynamic exchange, both artists dissolve and transform the tools of their respective disciplines, forging a distinctive and singular expression.
