Performance lab by Julia B. Laperrière
What bodies and what dances are needed for our time? What does it mean to be dangerous? And what might it mean to be a "dangereuses"?
In her latest group work "Dangereuses", Julia B. Laperrière understands the risk of intimacy, gentleness, and pleasure as a subversive practice – interwoven with elements of self-defense, protest, training, and combat preparation. Softness, vulnerability, sensuality, strength, and brutality are not seen as opposites. Rather, the artist is interested in where these seemingly opposing forces meet, and what happens in that encounter.
Emerging from "Dangereuses", Laperrière’s new performance "While We Wrestle" experiments with the intimacy of a smaller format, where danger and sensuality unfold in close proximity to the audience.
Admission is free, but registration is required.
The performance features naked bodies and violent content.
