Berlin literature in the Romanisches Café (in German)
Matthias Nawrat was ten years old when his family moved from Opole, Poland, to Germany. Following successful novels such as "Unternehmer" (2014) and "Reise nach Maine" (2021), his most recent book, "Über alles ein weit Himmel" (A Wide Sky Above All), depicts his view of various places in Eastern Europe and their people.
Bernadette Conrad and Michael Bienert discuss the role Berlin plays in his life and writing with the award-winning novelist and poet.
