On "Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel," the Knoblauchhaus Museum brings people together to be creative with needle and thread.

Embroidery is an ancient handicraft technique. In the mid-19th century, it developed into an international fashion trend among high society. In the house of the Knoblauch merchant family, the women also embroidered with the finest thread. After decades of being forgotten, embroidery is now a popular hobby again in a new form.

The Berlin "Embroidery Collective" brings people together to share their passion in public spaces and pursue it together. Inspired by current social issues, a collective work of art is created on a large piece of fabric in a historical setting.

On "Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel," you are invited to participate in this collaborative embroidery project in front of the Knoblauchhaus Museum.
