On May 8, 1945, delegations from the victorious powers and the German Wehrmacht landed at Tempelhof Airport to sign the unconditional surrender. Their journey took them through war-torn Berlin to the Karlshorst district in the east of the city. There, in the Soviet headquarters – a former Wehrmacht officers' mess – the signing ceremony took place.

A roughly 15-kilometer bike tour follows this historic trail. At the starting point, participants receive an introduction to the situation in Berlin at the end of World War II. An accompanying route guide provides in-depth information on significant stops along the route.

  • Start time: 10:00 a.m.
  • Meeting point: Platz der Luftbrücke 5 / forecourt of the former departure hall of Tempelhof Airport

Registration with first and last name is required at: kontakt@museum-karlshorst.de

The number of participants is limited.
