Guided tour for blind and visually impaired visitors with foundation employee Wilma Otte, SPSG

132 sandstone steps lead down from Sanssouci Palace into the palace park. Vines and fig trees grow to the left and right of the steps. They still bear witness to Frederick the Great's fondness for southern fruit.

The walk takes the group from the tactile model of the palace park in front of the visitor center at the Historical Mill across the terrace of Sanssouci Palace. Here we find the tomb of the Prussian king and the sculpture of a praying boy. Then it's down the hill to the Great Fountain. Around the water basin are the most important representatives of the Roman world of gods.

Juno and Jupiter, Apollo, Mercury and Venus - side by side with the embodiments of the four elements. They are all made of dazzling white marble and adorn the main avenue of Sanssouci Park.
