In "VIVA! 400 Years of Opera in 90 Minutes," the young vocal artists invite their audience on a fast-paced and entertaining tour de force through the eventful history of opera, demonstrating, from the early masterpieces to the great modern classics, how much joie de vivre and beauty lies in this music.
THE CAST dusts off the genre and interprets Handel, Mozart, Donizetti, Puccini, Verdi, and the like in a refreshingly contemporary way, always with humor, and vocally at the highest level. With THE CAST, the great arias, duets, and choral pieces become what they once were: truly huge hits!
With cabaret humor, charm, and a generous dose of joy, these passionate singers combine their skill and passion for classical singing with the energy of a pop concert, demonstrating how relaxed, fresh, and absolutely captivating opera can be. With Chinese concert pianist Yu Chen, they have a congenial and sensitive partner at their side, who effortlessly replaces an entire orchestra.
