In the cosy space of Roter Salon, this amazing show of conventional and not so conventional queer art unfolds. Dazzling figures from Berlin’s night clubs and bars present a potpourri of song and dance, travesty, drag and burlesque, in which the vulgar, DIY autodidactic art and high culture collide. The spectacular show offers fulminant and memorable insights into the world of self-styled kings and queens and drag artistry.


Fummelcabaret condenses the wonders of queer art into a singular night oscillating between survival in the era of late capitalism and a thirst for freedom and self-determined life. Celebrating the beauty of imperfection and queer personality, they deliver a tongue-in-cheek show that never takes itself too seriously.


The Berlin-based drag collective Der Rat der Ranzigen met by chance on New Year’s Eve in 2017 in a cold and damp backstage area. They quickly established themselves as a reliable force of well-informed performative sleaze. Floating on stage are councillors Brigitte Oytoy, Felizitas Navidad, Lana del Gay, Lana Labia and Vivienne Lovecraft.
