Further show & story:

„Black in Berlin Comedy Show” is a captivating comedy show produced and curated by the Moe Singleton. With humor as diverse as the city itself, Moe, a black resident of Berlin, effortlessly weaves his unique perspective into the fabric of this vibrant city. Berlin’s nightlife, culture, and even the city’s iconic color – black – all serve as comedic fodder. But Moe doesn’t go solo; he’s joined by other equally hilarious comedians. Moe Singleton curates a group of talented, Black and brown comedians from different backgrounds, all navigating the complexities and quirks of Berlin life. Together, they create a hilarious and heartwarming portrayal of a city that is as colorful as it is Black. While the scene of Black and brown comedians in Berlin is still small, it is steadily growing. To embrace the city's full diversity, they also sometimes feature "Diversity Acts"—white comedians—who offer their own comedic take on living in Berlin.

In November 2023, Moe created the comedy showcase Black in Berlin Comedy in Wedding to establish a space where Black and brown comedians can test and show case their unique points of view and the many faceted perspectives of storytelling. There are not many Black and brown comedians in the English comedy scene yet, what makes this space even more necessary. The weekly show is curated and produced by Moe, who curates the lineup and hosts through the show weaving the material of the 5 to 6 different comedians together and make it a show.

Based on the comedy show, Moe wrote and directed a mini series named Black in Berlin featuring different comedians, shining a spotlight on how to navigate through a new city, which was awarded as Best Feature Short in the Berlin Short Film Festival 2025.
