For more than three decades, Fiddler's Green have been one of the most successful bands in the European folk rock scene, having significantly shaped the genre with their rousing high-energy sound. In 1990, this unique musical mixture of violin, accordion, powerful drums and guitars was invented in a shared kitchen in a casual way and has since been celebrated across the country and beyond.
From the Lowlands and Pinkpop Festivals in Holland to the Sweden Rock Festival to acclaimed performances at the legendary metal festival in Wacken and the world-famous Montreux Jazz Festival, as well as during their tours in Japan - Fiddler's Green have impressively shown that over the last 30 years they easily overcome geographical and musical boundaries.
25 albums and four DVDs show their success and give the often inflationary expression of “reinventing yourself” a new dimension. Fiddler’s Green owe a significant part of their success to consistent creative development and the courage to try something new. This was the only way successful Irish Speedfolk could emerge!
The Fiddlers' music speaks an international language - the energy released during concerts is absorbed, reflected and carried forward everywhere.
The audience can look forward to a concentrated load of merciless joy of playing and an Irish-folk punk rock firework of hits that will leave no one standing still. Even after more than three decades, Fiddler’s Green still manage to surprise themselves and their fans at live shows.
