Karsten Troyke, with his love for old chansons and folk songs, creates profound melodies together with Daniel Weltlinger and Martin Buhl Staustrup, in which jazz, hip-hop and folklore merge together.

Daniel Weltlinger is a sought-after Australian-Jewish violinist who has lived in Berlin for years. His connection to the music of the German Sinti, his classical training, and his deep understanding of Jewish melodies make his playing unmistakable. His own projects are often dedicated to modern jazz and hip hop, and in his Yiddish concerts, he combines ancient melodies with a contemporary spirit.

Martin Buhl Staustrup is an exceptional bassist, one of the very young people keeping jazz alive. Yet he is also open to simpler folk songs, understands how to enhance the humor of chansons, and loves music not for the genre's sake, but for its quality. His power and tonal precision carry Troyke's songs through the evening.
