20th International Organ Summer in Berlin Cathedral
During the months of July and August, the famous Sauer organ of Berlin Cathedral resounds every Friday at 8 p.m., played by renowned organists from all over the world. The 7,269 pipes, distributed across 113 stops, are controlled by the historic pneumatic console from 1905.
As visitors enter the magnificent Preaching Church of Berlin Cathedral, their gaze inevitably falls to the left on the imposing organ case of the large Sauer organ. The large Sauer organ of Berlin's Oberpfarr- und Domkirche (Upper Parish Church and Cathedral) was designed and built parallel to the construction of the cathedral, making it an integral part of the original artistic design.
