Why companies are often undemocratic – and how things can be different

Companies exert considerable power in society and can influence democratic institutions, but they themselves are largely not democratically organized. Although many people spend most of their time working, they rarely have a say in what is produced, how, and for whom. Economist Heinz-Josef Bontrup refers to this as a "half-democracy."

This workshop will take a closer look at the current state of co-determination in Germany, what it has to do with personal work experiences, and what alternatives might look like – both theoretically and practically.
