by Lucy Wirth - Berlin-Premiere

As the last survivors of their kind, two female astronauts embark on their journey into space and suddenly find themselves in front of a closed, phallic plant in the middle of a barren, cratered landscape. Boldly but sensitively, they approach the plant, which is as demanding to care for as it is frivolous.

With their first stage play, two Munich theater makers dedicate themselves to a radical act of empathy that seeks to create access to a privately and politically mined field: a gender communication beyond polarization. The result is a musical landing on the moon of masculinity, full of "empathos," Eros, and inwardly tilted Ramazottis.

This colorfully imaginative stage spectacle is initially based on research: interviews with many men about their sexuality, possible fears, familiar misunderstandings, or superpower desires. The listening attention during the conversation allowed for honesty and the discovery of a male fragility that still all too often remains undiscovered.
