To mark Pride Month in June, Deutsche Oper Berlin is hosting a themed tour of the opera house. Together with guide* Orlando Meier-Brix, you will not only discover the opera house on the Pride tour, but also music theatre and opera as a queer art form.
How does opera become a means of queer self-expression? How did and does queerness take place at the Deutsche Oper Berlin? And what parts of the queer history of the Deutsche Oper have remained untold so far?
The Pride Tour invites you to discover our house from a new perspective and to experience opera as a place of artistic diversity.
