Jakob Springfeld's book is about the harsh reality that not only anti-fascist-minded people in East Germany are exposed to - threats, violence and fear.

But it is also about the fact that cities in the East can also become progressive hotbeds. The voice of the East German civilian population must become louder and must not only be heard after attacks by neo-Nazis. Springefeld's book serves as both a warning signal and a glimmer of hope.
The evening will be moderated by Louis Krüger (Member of the Berlin House of Representatives).
