Die Gorillas Improvisation Berlin
The successful show has a very special motto today. Countless theaters are affected by the Senate's cultural cuts and the Gorillas and the Ratibor Theater would like to draw attention to the situation at the Popelbühne today; they have a special connection to this theater because the managing director Lena Hauser has also worked at the Ratibor bar since it was founded.
The Popelbühne - founded in 1990 in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg - is a children's and youth leisure facility and has been offering courses/workshops and open offers for children, teenagers and young adults in the areas of cultural education, fine arts, acting and theater for 35 years.
Lena describes the current situation as follows: "Due to the planned cuts by the Senate Department for Finance in the area of culture and social affairs, we are doubly affected, as the tariff adjustment for 2025 decided in 2024 has been withdrawn and project funds have been cut by 12%. The assumption of the rent increase costs and an adjusted flat rate for energy costs will not be financed."
And as always with Gurke Banane: Three directors compete. They let you act. They let you sing. They stage and intrigue. They dance themselves. They want your favor.
So come in droves today and support this great stage - because: all the proceeds from today's performance go to the Popelbühne without deductions!
