Hannes Hegen
The graphic artist, draftsman and caricaturist Johannes Hegenbarth was one of the most famous people in the GDR under his stage name Hannes Hegen. He was the inventor of the "MOSAIK by Hannes Hegen" and its main characters Dig, Dag and Digedag. Behind this is a 20-year success story and the memories of it still make tens of thousands of eyes shine today.

Little is known about the life of Hannes Hegen, however. So who was this mysterious draftsman? Where did he come from and why did he come to Karlshorst? Or how did the illustrated magazine MOSAIK come about? The lecture by the Karlshorst History Friends will answer these and other questions.
