Jahn opened the first gymnastics center in Germany in Hasenheide. The New World was one of Berlin's attractions at the beginning of the 20th century.

The Hasenheide public park, approximately 50 hectares in size, was only added to the Neukölln area at the beginning of the 20th century. The park has beautiful lawns, imaginative playgrounds and even its own animal park.
Well-known politicians such as Karl Liebknecht and Franz Josef Strauss appeared in the New World. And of course there were concerts by famous musicians. Like Jimmy Hendrix, who gave two concerts in one day in the New World.
