After a series of colossal failures, Hollywood director Jack Arnold dreams of a grandiose comeback. He therefore wants to shoot his new horror film "The Mummy" in a completely authentic way in a real pyramid. He secures filming permission with lavish bribes - and ends up in a place of horror.
