Plant Emergency Food

In an emergency situation or a deliberate minimalist trip to remote areas, plants can be the only source of food for stretches. But which wild plants actually provide energy? And what toxic confusion partners are there? The course is led by survival expert and author Manuel Larbig (Spiegel bestseller author "Waldwandern").

In this survival course Berlin the main focus is on the usability of wild plants as emergency food. In principle, a large part of the European flora is edible. However, very few plant species provide people with more energy than they use in collecting and preparing them. In addition, there are also some very poisonous confusion partners.

The following topics are included in the course:

- Common edible and energy-bearing species.
- Poisonous confusion partners
- Dangers like parasites etc.
- Theoretical description of preparation methods without tools like pot etc.

Course of events

The Survival Course Berlin starts at a location that can be easily reached by "Öffis". At this point the course will end later.
In this course Manuel Larbig takes 6six hours, which is enough to get a first insight into the local flora and the possible uses.

On the one hand, the group walks a set route and stops again and again to address certain topics. There will also be plenty of time to discuss topics of particular interest to you.

After the course, you will receive an email with a link to some plant fact sheets, as well as tips for literature and apps.
