The Bug Club 2025 live in Berlin
The Welsh band The Bug Club have come an impressive way since they were founded in 2016 in the small town of Caldicot, Monmouthshire. A casual school friendship gave rise to an ambitious music project that has continued to develop. While their early influences were blues, the debut single We Don't Need Room For Loving and the EP Launching Moondream One in 2021 marked the transition to indie rock.
With their acclaimed album Green Dream in F# and numerous international appearances, the band demonstrated their love of experimentation. Their second album Rare Birds: Hour of Song (2023) and their third work On the Intricate Inner Workings of the System (2024) cemented their reputation as creative border crossers who do not allow themselves to be restricted in style.
Now the first major headline tour through Europe and Great Britain is coming up, with The Bug Club also coming to Berlin. A must for anyone who loves original and energetic indie rock.
The Bug Club have long been more than just an indie band from Wales: they are a prime example of what creativity, courage and a good pinch of humor can achieve.
