with Barbara Breuer (Press spokeswoman for the Berlin City Mission)

In the play The Dinner based on the novel by Hermann Koch, the murder of a homeless woman triggers the action on stage and draws attention to the topic of homelessness.

What risks and how much violence are homeless people exposed to in Berlin? How many homeless people actually live in Berlin? Why do they become homeless? How do you live without an apartment? Can you really tell if someone is homeless?

The Berlin City Mission offers poor and homeless people services such as the well-known mission at Zoologischer Garten station, the Berlin cold bus, emergency accommodation and a contact point for people without health insurance.

Barbara Breuer tells the audience the hard facts about homelessness in Berlin, as well as personal experiences on site, at the cold bus, at the zoo, at the food bank. The audience has a say.
