There is no more snow on the tree. But it cracks and crunches, it grows and sprouts and tickles everything awake. The mouse child Jacob wakes up from hibernation and is amazed at what is growing out of the thing in his flowerpot. The bird's nest is no longer empty and what colorful things are there in the grass?
